Environmental GIS

A growing field within Geographic Information Systems is the spatial mapping and analysis of the environment.  A great deal of resources is expended by public and private agencies who must address the impact their projects have on wildlife habitats, vegetation, water quality, environmental justice laws, and historic/prehistoric sites.
