Environmental GIS
A growing field within Geographic Information Systems is the spatial
mapping and analysis of the environment. A great deal of resources
is expended by public and private agencies who must address the impact
their projects have on wildlife habitats, vegetation, water quality,
environmental justice laws, and historic/prehistoric sites.
This page is specifically devoted to resources that contain
environment-related geospatial data and other resources. Visit the
GIS Data by State page to gain access
to that State's GIS page. Listed below are Federal websites which
contain GIS data for environmental considerations.
